WELCOME TO ROOTED RECODE
You don’t have to start over. You just have to start where you are.
Maybe it’s been six months since you worked out consistently. Maybe it’s been six years. Either way, you don’t need to punish yourself for the time you’ve been away or try to jump straight back into the workouts you used to do.
Rooted Recode is about rebuilding from where you are now—getting stronger, moving more, eating real food, and creating a version of fitness that fits into the rest of your life.
Not ready to commit to a whole program? Good. You don’t need to.
You know how to work out. So why does starting again feel so hard?
There’s a strange place you can end up when you used to be active. You’re not really a beginner. You know what a squat is. You remember workouts that used to feel normal. You might even know exactly what you should be doing.
But your body isn’t where it used to be, your life is different, and every time you think about getting back into fitness, your brain jumps ahead to everything it thinks that should involve.
Five workouts a week. Meal prep. Tracking everything. Giving up the foods you like. Being sore all the time. Finding an hour you don’t have.
So you keep waiting until you’re ready to “really” start.
You don’t need to get your old body back before you’re allowed to begin. This body is where you begin.
Rooted Recode was built for that space between I should really start working out again and I’m someone who works out.
This isn’t an all-or-nothing kind of place.
Rooted Recode is for women who want results. Wanting to lose fat, build muscle, look better in your clothes, or see definition when you look in the mirror doesn't make your goals shallow.
But getting results doesn't require making your body a full-time project.
We’ll talk about strength training, progressive overload, protein, portions, recovery, walking, body composition, and the things that actually help you make progress.
We'll also talk about pizza. And pasta. And vacations. And weeks when everything goes sideways.
Because the goal isn't to become incredibly good at following a fitness plan.
The goal is to build a strong body inside a life you actually enjoy living.
I’M DOING THIS TOO
Rooted Recode wasn’t built from the finish line.
I didn't create Rooted Recode because I have a perfect fitness routine and wanted to teach everyone else how to live like me.
I created it because I wanted to feel strong again too.
I knew what working out felt like. I knew what consistency felt like. And I also knew what it was like to look at where I was now and realize that knowing what to do wasn't the same thing as actually doing it.
So I'm rebuilding.
I'm testing the workouts myself. I'm figuring out what works in real life and what looks better on paper than it feels on a Tuesday evening. And I'm building Rooted Recode around the kind of fitness I actually want to maintain when the motivation and excitement of starting something new wear off.
I don't want fitness to run my life.
I want it to make the rest of my life better.
READY TO START?
Give me three workouts.
Not 30 days. Not a new diet. Not a promise that you're going to work out five days a week from now until forever.
Start with three workouts.
The free Get Moving plan gives you three full-body dumbbell workouts with recovery days in between. Use them to see where you are, remember what it feels like to move your body with purpose, and get your first week behind you.
Then we'll figure out what comes next.
